MARIGNY
About Marigny
Found on the downriver side of French Quarter, Marigny is one of the most popular up and coming neighborhoods you'll find. It's known as a funky, artsy spot and home of Frenchmen Street, which is the Bourbon Street for locals. The neighborhood offers a great art market, plenty of live music options, lots of local restaurants and so much more.
It's your common old school type of neighborhood in New Orleans. Marigny has plenty of history with narrow streets, very little off street parking, unique homes and plenty of landmarks. The neighborhood was the first "suburb" of the French Quarter and developed by Bernard de Marigny in the early 1800s.
